Outreach
Program
For
a number of reasons, including contributions to the Chairman's
Award submission effort, recruitment, and fund gathering, we have an Outreach
section devoted to organizing trips to elementary schools, press events, and
community events and presenting the team. This year a HHS Astronomy teacher,
Ms. Blessing, has agreed to help us and is working with the Outreach section
manager to visit several elementary schools planned for January. In the meantime,
the outreach section visited Draneville Elementary School on December 21,
2000 and gave an hour presentation to 120 students.
