SHOP MANAGEMENT

  1. Insure the shop and tools are kept in good order.
  2. Schedule shop cleanup detail assigning team members to clean up the shop after each work session; make this a rotating schedule to insure that the cleanup work is evenly distributed.
  3. At the end of each session, make sure the shop is clean before sending the cleanup detail home. Insure the following items have been done:
    1. All floors have been swept.
    2. Work surfaces have been wiped down.
    3. Trash and other debris have been place in trash cans; insure trash cans are periodically emptied.
    4. Check the drama room to make sure all items brought into the room have been taken back into the shop.
    5. Check to make sure all tools have been put back in their proper places.
    6. Make sure all power has been turned off.
    7. Lock the padlock on the shop door.

  4. Make sure that all team members using the shop have received safety training in use of the shop tools and equipment.
  5. Enforce safety rules in the shop to include use of eye protection at all times in the shop area.
  6. Notify the Team Captain in the event of lost or broken tools requiring replacement or repair.
